Every manufacturer builds into their new gear the safety features required by Snell and DOT, so take your pick – last year’s at a bargain price, or this year’s for the latest styles and colors.

Being the father of three avid ATV racers, I’ve become accustomed to life on the road. A couple of years ago I made a deal with my children that we could travel to different racetracks around the country as long as their grades didn’t slip-and they haven’t yet. About three months out of the year, we pack up the toy hauler and all of our ATV accessories and head out for a variety of competitions.

These expeditions have proven to be a bonding experience for everyone in the family. The kids have their own little sibling rivalries, of course, but they are amiable enough towards one another. We all are somewhat discouraged when the season comes to an end and we have to put on the toy hauler cover and pack things up until next year.
